Kimberly Carasso is an experienced civil litigator who counsels and represents clients in all facets of litigation. She has an extensive range of experience including: business, employment, professional liability, catastrophic personal injury, real estate and other types of complex litigation. Since joining Callahan & Blaine, she has worked on a wide variety of complex litigation matters, including catastrophic personal injury, labor and employment, complex business litigation, class actions and professional liability.
She is admitted to practice in the State of California and the United States District Court - in the Northern District, Central District and the Southern District of California. Ms. Carasso is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and numerous professional organizations. She received an AV (preeminent) rating from Martindale, a testament to the fact that her peers rank her at the highest level of professional excellence.
OC Metro Magazine named Ms. Carasso a "Mover and Shaker Under 40" in Orange County. In addition, she has been named a Rising Star (attorneys under 40) in Southern California by Superlawyers for 2009, 2010 and 2011. Superlawyers awards this accolade to only the top 2.5% of attorneys.
Ms. Carasso is highly experienced and skilled at investigation, organization, development of trial strategy, case evaluation and negotiation. She successfully co-chaired a defense verdict in a multi-million dollar products liability action tried in Mammoth Lakes, California. Moreover, she recently co-chaired a trial in Orange County, California obtaining a verdict for her clients in a long-standing and acrimonious dispute between two homeowner’s associations. In addition, she obtained a $1,300,000.00 judgment for a client in case involving failure to pay overtime and wrongful termination in violation of public policy. Ms. Carasso enjoys public speaking and has been a featured speaker for several organizations, including the Association of Corporate Counsel. In 2005, the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership organization elected Ms. Carasso to a two-year term as a Board of Trustee and appointed her as its General Counsel. In 2011, Ms. Carasso re-joined HOBY as a member of the Board of Governors.
Ms. Carasso received her Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law in 1996 where she received the American Jurisprudence Award in Evidence Advocacy and she was a member of the Dean's List. In 1993, she received her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Political Science, with Programs of Concentration in Scientific Perspectives and Japanese Studies from University of California–San Diego.
