Anita Pattillo, an African-American woman, sued Technology Management Services claiming that her Caucasian supervisor, with an alleged preference for minority women, was sexually harassing her. Plaintiff claimed that the supervisor improperly touched her, made suggestive comments, took advantage of her subordinate position, and made her work environment so intolerable that she was forced to resign from a job she otherwise enjoyed.
During a bitterly contested jury trial, Callahan & Blaine convinced the jury that at all times his client, Technology Management Services, acted appropriately and responsibly in regards to her allegations. The jury totally dismissed her claims for damages of over $375,000 in lost work benefits and emotional damages, thus negating her ability to seek even more damages in the form of attorneys' fees and punitive damages.
