Shelley M. Liberto
Shelley M. Liberto acts as ‘Of Counsel’ to Callahan & Blaine. His practice focuses approximately seventy percent on Computer and software transactions and litigation and approximately thirty percent on Business/Entrepreneurial counseling and litigation.
Mr. Liberto was born on February 6, 1953 in San Diego, California. He attended the University of California, Berkeley receiving his B.A. in 1975 and then proceeded to the University of Arizona, Tucson receiving his M.A. in 1980. He then went on to the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law graduating with his J.D. in 1987, Order of the Coif.
Mr. Liberto was admitted to practice in the State of California, the United States District Court, Central, Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of California as well as the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit all in 1987. Additionally, he is a member of the Orange County Bar Association (Chair, Technology and Intellectual Property Section as well as the Business Litigation Section) and the State Bar of California.
Mr. Liberto served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Morocco from 1976 until 1979. In addition to graduating Order of the Coif from law school and being a member of the Traynor Honor Society, he is a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Conflict of Laws. He is the Assistant Editor of the Pacific Law Journal and a licensed California Real Estate Broker. Some of his other involvements include being on the Board of Trustees of the Orange County Museum of Art.
