A motorcyclist who was killed in a California hit-and-run accident was identified. The 53-year-old victim was riding his Harley-Davidson south on the highway when a vehicle crashed into him near the connecting road between the road he was on and another roadway. He was sent over the railing and fell a minimum of 80 feet to the ground. The motorcycle-car accident occurred around 5:50 p.m.
Law enforcement continues its accident investigation to find what they believe is either a green Jeep or SUV. They seek the public’s help in locating it. Initially, it had been described as white. One witness stated that the driver stopped after the crash, got out of the vehicle and then returned to it and drove off. The vehicle that committed the hit and run is believed to have changed lanes without warning and subsequently hit the motorcycle. It is believed to have sustained damage to its right side in the accident.
